Pawn vs. Sell

What is a Pawn Loan?

Gun Scope Inspection

A pawn is another term for a collateral loan. If you need money for any reason, a collateral loan could be the answer you’re looking for. There is no credit check and no legal repercussions if not paid back. With this type of loan, you bring in an item of value as collateral in exchange for cash on the spot. Here at the Shawano Pawn Shop, we have a team of knowledgeable and friendly appraisers ready to assess your property and provide a fair and honest value with no obligation to you. If you accept, you walk out with cash in hand and we hold onto your property as collateral for the 30 day loan. When the loan and finance charge is paid in full by the end of term, your property is returned. Or, you can choose to surrender your property and the loan will be considered paid in full. Yes, it’s that easy!

FAQ

What if I can’t pay off my pawn loan by the end of the 30 day term?

If you are not able to pay off your loan by the 30 day term and am not ready to surrender your property, all you have to do is pay off the interest amount by the end of the term and we can extend your pawn loan an additional 30 days.

What if I pay off my pawn loan before the 30 day term?

If you pay off your pawn before the end of the term, your interest will be pro-rated and you are not responsible for the full 30 day finance charge. However, there is a $5 minimum on each pawn loan.

What is the interest on my pawn loan?

Our interest rate is 20% every 30 days of the original pawn loan amount.
